This is the case of Sister Martha. It is known in social networks for sharing with your followers your experience as cloistered nun. The young woman has told in a video on her YouTube channel why you have chosen to dedicate yourself to this. «I know that the vocation to which God calls you is where you will be 100% happy. I wanted to be happy. There is no more. So it was pure selfishness», he indicates.

There are those who think that the daily life of a cloistered nun can be boring. However, Sister Marta assures that the opposite is true and mentions in an extensive list all activities what they do in the convent.
Time to get up and go to church
The first thing he talks about is what time the alarm clock goes off. «We got up around 6:20 a.m.more or less. This is free, but At 7:00 a.m. you have to be at the church.», he indicates.
Once in the parish, they pray and then have space for personal prayer. «Then we have the Eucharistic and the Terce, which is shorter. Everything goes together. When we finish, we are going to have breakfast», he adds.
Work and lunch time
After these tasks, the young woman points out that each one does her job or the tasks entrusted to them. «Garden, sweets, cooking, studying, music…»he mentions.
Before noon they have another intermediate hour called the Sixth. «We eat and later we have time to rest. It usually lasts an hour and a half or, at most, two hours,” he details.
Afternoon chores
The nun continues explaining her afternoon work: «We pray and then comes the Rosary. We do it by walking through the cloister to walk a little. We also usually rehearse the songs.
After that, Sister Marta affirms that they have some free time again until 6:00 p.m. From that moment on they dedicate one hour of spiritual reading. «They can be books on Saints, self-help or the Bible, which is preferable. “Little Red Riding Hood is not worth it,” he clarifies.
Dinner and time to go to bed
«At 7:00 p.m. are Vespers. Then we had dinner and then we have recesswhich is a space to share and be in community.
Before going to sleep they have the Compline calls, which is the last prayer of the day.
And what time do they go to bed? Sister Marta responds: “We went to bed around 10:30 p.m.”.
