ADA Space, a Chinese satellite Internet technology company, announced that its recently launched satellite successfully completed the technical verification of the technology of a large artificial intelligence model during operation in orbit.
The Chinese news agency, Xinhua, reported that the satellite conducted 13 tests of the large artificial intelligence model from September 25 to October 5, which included a set of inference questions under different operating conditions and temperatures.
Technical tests confirmed the ability of the large artificial intelligence model to adapt to space conditions, the reliability of the satellite computing platform, and the effective computing power of high-performance payloads during operation in space, according to the company.
In the next stage, the satellite will generate 3D remote sensing data by artificial intelligence while in orbit.
AI 3D imaging capabilities can support a wide range of digital twin applications in various sectors, including low-altitude economies, cultural tourism and sports.
The satellite was launched using the Smart Dragon-3 carrier rocket from the waters near the city of Haiyang in Shandong Province, eastern China, on September 24.
