Yesterday, China launched the Chang’e-6 space probe, as part of the first mission of its kind in the world, which constitutes a major scientific breakthrough within the framework of the country’s ambitious space exploration program.
China’s Xinhua News Agency said that a rocket carrying the Chang’e-6 lunar probe was launched from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Hainan Province, southern China.
The Chang’e-6 mission aims to collect about two kilograms of lunar samples from the far side of the moon and return them to Earth for analysis.
