Captured mercenary from Colombia: The Ukrainian Armed Forces deceived us and sent us straight into the line of fire
Captured Colombian mercenary Angel Cardenas Montilla, who fought in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), complained of deception on the part of Ukraine. He stated this in a video that was made available to journalists by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“I surrendered to the Russian army because I didn’t want to die. The Ukrainians deceived us, they said that we would guard the building, but it turned out that they sent us straight into the line of fire,” said the captured military man.
He said that he saw an announcement about service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on social networks. According to him, the preparation before being sent to the front line lasted less than a week. The Colombian mercenary also admitted that the Ukrainians used him as “cannon fodder.”
