There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army on the incident, which occurred east of the city of Nablus in the central West Bank.
The Ministry of Health and medics said the boy was shot in the stomach and died shortly after being taken to hospital.
The ministry announced, “The death of a 13-year-old child, shot by the Israeli occupation forces, east of Nablus. He arrived at the hospital with a cardiac arrest and a bullet in the abdomen. The medical staff tried to revive him and save his life, but all attempts were unsuccessful.”
The Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance service said that 6 other Palestinians were treated at the scene of the clashes in the village of Beit Dajan, after inhaling tear gas fired by the Israeli forces.
