The bug replaced the ‘PS4’ labels in achievements with ‘PS3’, but PlayStation has made no official statement.
Since its announcement and after its first year of life, PS5 has stood out for many reasons ranging from graphics to gaming experience. However, there is also rumors around a supposed backward compatibility with old platforms, something that has been further enhanced due to an error in the store that showed PS3 games. Now, the speculations return to occupy a space today with a failure which has drawn the attention of many users.
As shown in some screenshots circulating on the net, the PS4 tagged achievements had completely disappeared and had been replaced by empty images accompanied by a category of PS3. As expected, rumors about possible backward compatibility have come back to life with theories alluding to a failure to implement this functionality.
It certainly seems to be a mistake. PlayStation has not been slow to fix the situation and the trophy screens now work normally. Although there is no way to verify that this novelty is related to current speculation, we remember that this information should be taken with tweezers until the Japanese company publishes a official announcement.
So, for the moment, the change of label in the trophies is nothing more than a mistake (curious, everything is said) of PlayStation. Despite this, the community has not yet forgotten a report of Bloomberg in which it is stated that the Japanese company would be working on a system similar to Game Pass, something that has later been accompanied by the registration of a backward compatibility patent that has done nothing more than fan the fire.
