A bear attacked two people in the taiga in the Irkutsk region. This was announced on Tuesday, August 3. website regional GU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
It is noted that two foresters in the taiga, 20 km from the village of Podvolochny near the Ilim River in the Ust-Udinsky region of the Baikal region, encountered an aggressive bear. The predator injured the leg of one of the men. The second forester reported the incident to the police and took the victim to the car, which was located more than 2 km from the scene of the incident. After that, he handed over his partner to the paramedic of the village.
According to the site kp.ru, the victim received lacerations in his leg and a fractured hip.
A physician assisted a 42-year-old victim. How they managed to fight off the predator is still unknown, since the connection with men is unstable. As specified TASS in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, men are employees of a state enterprise that is engaged in geodetic work.
Currently, the issue of evacuating the wounded is being resolved, as well as the arrival of the investigative-operational group to the scene of the incident, which is located in a difficult-to-reach area more than 200 km from the regional center.
Earlier in 2021, there were several cases of bear attacks on people in the regions of Siberia. In June, in the Ergaki Nature Park in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a bear attacked a tourist group, as a result of which a 16-year-old teenager died and another person was injured.
In July, a predator attacked a group of Moscow tourists in the same place, killing a 42-year-old man. Later it was reported that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in the Ergaki Natural Park, a bear was killed, which, presumably, had earlier attacked tourists. On the same day, a criminal case was initiated into the death of a tourist from the paws of a bear.
