The man had smoke poisoning
The 112 Region of Murcia Emergency Coordination Center received several calls on Tuesday night warning of the fire in a building in the district of El Mirador, on Main Avenue, in the municipality of San Javier. The fire was concentrated on the top floor of a three-story building. The San Javier Local Police traveled to the scene of the fire and reported that the building was evacuated and one person needed health care.
Also mobilized troops from the Civil Guard, eight firefighters from the Fire Extinction and Rescue Consortium in four vehicles, an ambulance from the Urgencies and Health Emergencies Management 061 (an ambulance from the Emergency Service) and public cleaning services from the City Council of San Javier.
The sanitarion treated the affected person ‘in situ’ and later proceeded to transfer him to the Los Arcos del Mar Menor hospital. The wounded man is a 71-year-old man who had smoke poisoning. At 9 pm the firefighters declared the fire extinguished and returned to the parks.
