Nostradamus predicted little good for 2022. The doctor and astrologer formulates nebulously. Now the 16th-century “seer” is said to be right with an eerie prediction.
Munich – The prophecies of Nostradamus have fascinated and frightened people for generations. These are enigmatic and dark verses that the pharmacist Michel de Notredame, born in 1503 in Saint-de-Rémy-de-Provence, France, left for posterity. Described in gloomy images Nostradamus in it the future. It is difficult to pin down exact dates of his dramatic predictions. The mysterious quatrains can be interpreted in different ways. There is no specific information, such as names or dates. Nostradamus prophecies appeared in the text for the first time Les Prophetes in 1555.
Nostradamus prophecies are nebulous
“The verses are so unclear that you can interpret a lot into them, similar to horoscopes,” says historian and Nostradamus expert Jörg Dendl im Mirror (2003). The famous 16th-century Frenchman wrote 924 quatrains about events up to the “final year” 3793. Lots of material to unravel the true meaning of the nebulous verses.
To this day, his followers believe that Nostradamus can see into the future. Nostradamus is said to have predicted Adolf Hitler, the 1969 moon landing, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and much more.
Does Nostradamus predict war in 2022?
For the year 2022 Nostradamus sees black – floods, drought and famine threatened. Of course, these predictions were already circulating around the turn of the year. In addition, Nostradamus prophesies a major conflict in the spring of 2022. Among his 942 cryptic quatrains there is a vague suggestion that France could face a threat from the east. In the forecasts, the invasion of France by a threat from the east is a recurring theme.
“The blue will cause the white man as much suffering as France’s good will do to both”
However, Nostradamus expert Bobby Shailer hinted that according to Nostradamus’ predictions, the outbreak of a third world war could take place “within the next few years,” reports the British tabloid Daily Mail. Last year said Shailer known from Discovery + series Nostradamus: End of Days: “Nostradamus says it will be a massive long war, 25 to 29 years, followed by smaller wars.” However, the prediction also gave hope: If humanity survives World War III, there would then be 1000 years of peace, which Nostradamus would call the “Saturn Age called.
But don’t panic: they are simply “prophecies”. Anything can be read into his predictions. So far there is no real proof of the truthfulness of his visions for the future. There had already been a certain unrest in the Nostradamus community that something like a world war could break out between 2010 and 2012, Spiegel reported in 2003. The predictions made by the deceased Bulgarian Baba are similarly nebulous and speculative Wanga. Also: By the way, he did not mention the corona pandemic in any of his prophecies.
Destruction, darkness and desolation – who was Nostradamus?
The Frenchman Michel de Nostredame (Latinized: Nostradamus) lived in the 16th century. It was a time of plague and peasant wars. His ancestors were probably Spanish Jews. His father converted to the Catholic faith. He is said to have worked as a doctor and also as an astrologer. As a committed doctor in the fight against the plague, he gained a great reputation. His verses are written in a coded language, a mixture of old French, Latin and also his own word structures. A lot of things are hard to understand and difficult to translate. Over the centuries there have been countless interpretations of the verses. Nostradamus became famous with the supposed prediction of the French king Henry II:
“The young lion overcomes the old one on a warlike field in individual competition.
In the golden cage he will gouge out his eyes. Then one out of two dies a horrible death.”
Although the verses do not contain any concrete information, the event of the poetry Nostradamus was subsequently assigned. The fact that a tournament was not an act of war even then did not change that. Henry II was killed in a tournament by a lance point penetrating his head. After agonizing suffering, the king died of this injury on July 10, 1559. The prophecy was simply alluded to the event. His fame as a soothsayer was still spreading during Nostradamus’ lifetime. Nostradamus died on July 2, 1566. (ml)
