Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Digital Transition Mykhailo Fedorov has asked billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk for help in providing internet in the country. The goal was to use Starlink internet services, high-speed satellite technology from SpaceX, one of Musk’s companies.

This Saturday (26), the businessman confirmed the aid to the Ukrainians after Fedorov’s request on Twitter. “While trying to colonize Mars, Russia is trying to occupy Ukraine. As its rockets land successfully from space, Russia’s rockets attack Ukrainian civilians. We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations,” the minister said in the post.
A little later, Musk responded to the appeal: “The Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals are on the way.” Starlink has more than 2,000 satellites launched into the atmosphere, covering almost the entire planet. Check out the following post (in English):
