The avant-garde and long-awaited version of director Matt Reeves with Robert Pattinson in the skin of the batman will arrive this Thursday, March 3, at cinemas in our country and the expectation among fans of the legendary superhero is growing.
In the words of the director, this story will present a much younger Batman, trying to understand who he is and constantly evolving. A Bruce Wayne who does not forget the murder of his parents. “He thinks he’s doing all of this to make Gotham City better, but he’s really acting in a revenge mode because he’s trying to make sense of his life,” he explains.
Along with Robert Pattinson, other actors will shine like Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman), Colin Farrell (‘The Penguin’), John Turturro (Carmine Falcone) and Paul Dano as Edward Nashton aka ‘The Riddler’. Also Andy Serkis as the faithful butler Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon.
“The Batman is a detective story, very police where the protagonist and James Gordon come together to fight against corruption. But it’s also a psychological thriller, with visual iconography that harkens back to the comics, that feels mythical, in that sense, and also with a grittiness that makes it feel like something from the ’70s,” adds Reeves.❖
