The doctor said that when analyzing vascular complications in patients after COVID-19, the data were confirmed: in 15 percent of patients, after completing the main course of treatment, after a month from the onset of the disease, signs of vascular damage remain and progress. Ruzhentsova added that with the spread of omicron, these complications are becoming less common.
Earlier, cardiovascular surgeon Alexei Kupryashov shared a way to avoid thrombosis after coronavirus. According to him, after suffering COVID-19, it is recommended to check the heart and blood vessels, normalize blood pressure and stop smoking.
