Only four days after the Portimao test on the RC213V-S, Marc Marquez went to Motorland Aragon, just outside the city of Alcaniz, for other tests on a motorcycle. The Repsol Honda team rider lapped on the Spanish track with a Honda CBR600RR after the good sensations he had on the Lusitanian track, where he completed 65 laps and a total of 300 kilometers.
The eight-time world champion posted a photo on his social networks where he confirms that he continues to prepare to be present at the preseason tests, scheduled for 5 and 6 February in Sepang, Malaysia. Even if the main reason for his test is unknown, everything suggests that the Catalan continues to test the conditions of his vision with effort and speed.
These tests will be used by Marquez to build a new path that sees him on his way to the first round of the season, next 6 March in Qatar, where he expects to reach the best of his physical and mental form. The multiple world champion has already shown a first taste of what it was like to return to the saddle of a sports bike, the commercial version of the RC213V. In fact, after his test in Portimao he said: “We have two weeks left before the Sepang tests begin, so I will take advantage of it to intensify my physical preparation and to train on the bike”.
This confirms an evident improvement in the diplopia he suffered from in recent months. The vision disorder that had already struck him in 2011 returned following an accident that occurred while he was training in motocross on October 30th. Fortunately, he doesn’t need any surgery, so he can keep working on his return to the track.
