Mexico City.- Users in the country report a failure in Meta services -which includes WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Facebook-, in addition to indicating similar problems in the Zoom platform, Telegram, banking applications and video game services.
According to the DownDetector portal, reports of the failure began around noon on Wednesday.
Most reported problems sending messages and loading the app.
As for Zoom, most noted problems continuing their classes online, as well as not being able to get into meetings.
Other services added to the list are Discord, Twitch, Play Station Network, as well as Izzi and Telmex internet.
Roblox, Amazon and Netflix also have flaws, according to users.
Worldwide, 2,740 people used Facebook, 2 billion used WhatsApp, 1,300 million users of Facebook Messenger and 1,221 million users of Instagram, estimated the firm HootSuite in 2021.
In the country, 95.1 million people, that is, 87.3 percent of smartphone users in Mexico, have a social media application, and of these, 94.4 percent use Facebook and 40.2 percent are Instagram users , according to The Competitive Intelligence Unit (The CIU).
