Said said, while supervising the cabinet meeting at the Carthage Palace, that “the Tunisian state is one, its people are one, and its laws are one,” stressing that “anyone who tries to overthrow the state or employ its facilities, which must remain public and impartial, will not be tolerated.”
In his speech, the Tunisian Head of State also urged “honorable judges to be a force of initiative and suggestion,” and called on them to participate in the reform process to achieve justice in the country.
On the other hand, the President of Tunisia sent a message of reassurance to businessmen, indicating that the Penal Conciliation Law does not aim to track them down, but rather aims to recover the people’s money.
Regarding the date of the Tunisian National Day, Saied said, “Some parties still insist that January 14 is the National Day, while an order has been issued stating that Revolution Day is December 17.”
He continued, “It is a strange and insulting paradox that some suspicious parties abroad and at home want to impose on us the dates of our national and religious holidays, and they have no choice but to monitor the crescent.”
