Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the “Wish Tree” campaign during the awards ceremony for the winners of the “We Are Together” international award.
The head of state took part in the event, which takes place on December 5 at the Manezh, by video link. With the help of one of the presenters of the ceremony, young Yegor, the president took off three postcards with wishes from the tree on the air.
Thus, 14-year-old Mark from the Moscow Region dreams of a guitar, 5-year-old Hazor from Buryatia wants to play the role of a firefighter, and 13-year-old Tatiana from Stavropol Territory wants to attend the Swan Lake ballet at the Mariinsky Theater.
“Consider that you are already on the road,” Putin said after hearing about the girl’s dream.
The all-Russian action “Christmas tree of desires” is taking place this year from November 15 to December 11. She helps to fulfill the wishes of children with disabilities, disabilities, orphans or from low-income families. Such an action was also held within the framework of the “We are Together” forum.
On the “Christmas tree of desires”, which is installed in the Grand Kremlin Palace, toys with the wishes of children from different regions of Russia are hung. Members of the government, governors and parliamentarians who come to the Kremlin remove wishes from the tree, the president himself, as a rule, fulfills the wishes of several children at once.
