Anyone who wants to play STALKER 2 warned.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl marks the debut of the series on next-gen consoles and will be launched in April 2022: apparently, however, the title will take up a lot of space, at least on Xbox. According to Microsoft Store, the post-apocalyptic shooter will use up to 180GB, which is half the free space of the Xbox Series S.
Given that we are talking about an “approximate” size at this point, the actual free space requirement of the game may be less at launch. However, such a gigantic file size for just one game is still worrying, especially since Xbox Series S owners only have around 364GB of free space available.
With the new suggestions from the Microsoft Store, we can assume that STALKER 2 is indeed a heavy game, probably due to the team using Unreal Engine 5 within it.
STALKER 2 will be available via Xbox Game Pass on day one, giving subscribers the ability to take a look at the title’s graphics at no additional cost. The game is expected to launch on April 28, 2022, as a timed exclusive on PC and Xbox Series X / S.
