Health reports two deaths, including a 48-year-old unvaccinated woman
The daily positives of Covid catapulted again this Tuesday in the Region of Murcia to 497, the highest data since August, at the peak of the fifth wave. This new rise again accelerates the rise in cases after a few days that seemed to draw a slowdown in the curve. In addition, the positivity rate of the tests increased (5,528 PCR and antigens), to 9%.
Of the 497 new cases, 153 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 104 to Cartagena, 21 to Lorca, 20 to Yecla, 17 to Molina de Segura, 12 to Mazarrón, 11 to Alcantarilla, 11 to Jumilla, 10 to Fuente Álamo, 10 to Torre Pacheco, 8 to Caravaca de la Cruz, 8 to La Unión, 7 to Águilas, 7 to Campos del Río, 6 to Santomera, 5 to Alhama de Murcia, 5 to Totana, 4 to Abarán, 4 to Puerto Lumbreras, 4 to San Javier, 4 to Villanueva. The rest are distributed by the other municipalities.
However, after the increase in hospital occupancy on Monday, this Tuesday stabilized. There are currently 93 patients admitted, 20 of them in the ICU. After four days without fatalities, Salud reported two deaths: a 48-year-old woman without vaccination and a 90-year-old man who had been vaccinated. They resided in the areas of Cartagena and Lorca, respectively.
