As has long been known, Valentino Rossi’s future in the world of motors will be aboard a GT car.
After retiring from the World Championship, the ‘Doctor’ is taking advantage of this winter break to prepare for the 12h in the Gulf, which he will take part in with the Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 as happened in the past two editions.
Pending the officialization of the crew with which he will present himself on this adventure, the boy from Tavullia is in the classic phase of ‘leafing through the daisy’, as he admitted in a video interview with Gazzetta Motori.
“I will race in a championship between GT World Challenge Europe and FIA WEC: one gives you the opportunity to do the 24h of Spa, the other the 24h of Le Mans, we still have to understand which is better”, explains Valentino, who then clarifies that everything is still being evaluated.
“I’ll be behind the wheel of a GT, now you have to figure out which one to race with. We are also talking with Ferrari, obviously it would be nice, a dream. Really cool!”
Some time ago, at the MotoGP event in Austin, the 9-time World Champion had also revealed his love for the United States to NBCSports.
“Every year I have always tried to do one or two races in the car. In the USA there is IMSA which is very interesting, especially the 24h of Daytona. I hope to do it one day, even if I have not decided anything yet.” .

Rossi will not hang his helmet on a nail, but will also take the opportunity to take the time to face a new life, in every respect.
“The thing I’m most curious about is becoming a father, since according to everyone it changes your life. It will be a great emotion. For the rest, I will still have many things to do and it will be the same, but it will not be MotoGP” .
“Finally, I will have the summer free to go around in various places and stay on vacation, without having to respect tight deadlines to tackle the races. In short, doing things with a little more calm.”
“In the months following the announcement of my retirement, I was able to observe things with the outside eye and understand a lot of what I have done in 25 years. It was nice to receive messages of affection and esteem, even from other pilots, then it is clear that you are sorry to leave your world “.
