The Suicide Squad came to movie theaters and HBO Max last August, and both critics and fans were delighted with the new James Gunn. One of the characters that stood out the most was Nanaue, aka King Shark, And that was how Gunn and his team did some of his special effects.
Through your account Instagram, the director of the film shared us a look behind the scenes, thus revealing the process that was carried out for the footprints that the character was leaving while they walked through the streets of Corto Maltese.
Drew Petrotta, props director for the film, he was responsible for walking with those gigantic “sandals” of King shark to leave traces in the filming, thus avoiding that the production had to go to the CGI for this.
Editor’s note: It is seen that the process to give life to King shark It was not an easy one, but fortunately, Gunn and his team managed to move it forward. He was definitely one of my favorite characters from The Suicide Squad, and hopefully we can see it again in other projects of HBO Max.
