Cobas AM, the manager founded by Francisco García Paramés, has initiated the procedures before the regulator so that the ‘author’ product admark no longer appears in the brochures of its investment funds. A change you want underline the importance of collegial decisions made by the investment team of the firm, made up of renowned professionals who in many cases have accompanied the veteran manager since his time at Bestinver, and “in line with a rigorous and structured investment process,” they highlight in a statement addressed to their clients.
This change in the brochures also implies that if Paramés stopped managing the funds at some point, it would not entail any additional change, as author products logically require when their creator retires. In any case, the manager emphasizes that Paramés, as president and investment director of Cobas AM, “will continue to lead investment management with the same dedication and commitment as always”.
This modification grants the right of reimbursement to the participants, without any commission or extra expense and will come into force once the CNMV registers the changes in the fund prospectus, “expectedly at the beginning of 2025,” the manager warns in the statement.
This change is nothing new for Cobas investors, since the firm already announced it at its last annual conference, held before the summer, and is part of a process in which the firm also made official the appointment of Gonzalo Recarte as director general of the manager.
The investment team is made up of six professionals: Vicente Martín, Iván Chvedine, Carmen Pérez, Juan Huerta de Soto, Juan Cantus and Mingkun Chan, located in Asia, an area where the manager began investing years ago and where Japanese companies and Korean companies take up an important part of the international portfolio.
