Mercadona invests more than two million euros in the recovery of the surroundings of its stores and its logistics block in Riba-roja de Túria that have been affected by the DANA catastrophe, with the aim of helping residents recover normal.
The initiative, led by the company’s works department, makes cleaning and adaptation work available to residents, with prior authorization from the City Council. In total, 16 suppliers that are employing more than 110 people.
Among the latest tasks to recover the environment in stores, those carried out in Picanya, Paiporta, Alfafar, Catarroja and Aldaia stand out. In this last municipality, in addition, in collaboration with the authorities, vehicles were removed from public roads.
The company has stressed that it will continue to do whatever is necessary to help Valencia recover its economic and social activity.
