The worst news regarding Eduardo Camavinga was confirmed this Thursday morning. The medical tests carried out on the French midfielder, substituted at the beginning of the second half of the Anfield match, have shown that Camavinga suffers “a tear in the femoral biceps of his left leg”, according to the club’s medical report. He will be out for about three weeks.
The player will miss the next three league games, against Getafe, Athletic and Girona; and the next one in the Champions League, on Tuesday, December 10 in Bergamo against Atalanta. Madrid’s objective is to have him recovered by December 18 in the Intercontinental that is held in Doha (Qatar). Camavinga suffers practically the same injury as Vinicius Junior, injured against Leganés. The Brazilian is also expected for the final in Doha.
Doubts
Tchoauméni and Rodrygo could be on Sunday against Getafe
Without Camavinga, and with Lucas Vázquez already recovered for the right back, everything indicates that Fede Valverde will return to the center of the field, where Tchouaméni could already be on Sunday against Getafe, although it is not certain. If the Frenchman is not there, the other three places could go to Bellingham, Modric and Güler or Ceballos. Rodrygo also has options to reappear against the azulones.
The Liverpool match also left Mbappé, Bellingham and Brahim with different discomforts and tomorrow, Friday, they will undergo several medical tests to find out if they can play against Getafe. In Madrid they believe that all three will be at Ancelotti’s disposal.
