Astigmatism is a condition rooted in the curvature of the eye that causes blurred vision both near and far. It is a very common disorder due to irregular curvatures of the cornea and usually occurs from birth. Sometimes it is associated with myopia and hyperopia. It is corrected with the use of glasses or resorting to surgery.
