Cabify will incorporate in Madrid 275 new 100% electric vehiclesincluding 50 vans adapted for people with reduced mobility. This measure, which has the support of the European Investment Bank, is part of the company’s electrification plan.
Among the models chosen, the Nissan Ariya, KIA eNiro, BYD Seal and Mercedes EQV 300. The latter have been adapted by ARC to guarantee accessibility for users with reduced mobility, reinforcing a service that is languishing in the Community of Madrid due to the constant decrease in adapted taxis.
The cars will be managed by vectora subsidiary of the platform, and join the previous acquisitions of 570 vehicles electrical installations carried out in the last year. Cabify, with origins in Madrid, thus reinforces its role in the transition towards sustainable mobility in the sector.
“Thanks to the support of allies such as public institutions, different companies in the sector and the European Investment Bank, we are moving towards a zero-emission fleet and the decarbonization of urban mobility,” said Alberto González, Country Manager of Cabify in Spain.
