Espanyol midfielder José Gragera has undergone successful surgery on his injury to the first toe of his left foot, as reported by the club, and will be out for about three months.
The Asturian footballer’s condition, known as Hallux rigidus, limits mobility and causes osteoarthritis in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the first toe of his left foot, something that affects him on the field of play.
In fact, the player had had this injury since last year and, after undergoing surgery, the problem should be resolved definitively. His last game was on October 19, against Athletic, at the San Mamés stadium.
José Gragera, according to recovery forecasts, would reintegrate into the group dynamic starting in March. In any case, doctors will be aware of their daily evolution to calibrate their work.
