After weeks demanding the appearance of Pedro Sánchez in Congress to explain the Government’s actions during DANA, the leader of the opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has assured that the President of the Government “should not be” in Parliament “and on top of that does to cover himself from all the plague of corruption”. Feijóo has accused Sánchez of “covering himself” behind the tragedy in Valencia and has started his speech by blaming his presence in the Chamber: “He does it for you,” he snapped.
Feijóo has delved into his party’s strategy to blame the central government for mismanagement in the hours before and days after the catastrophe. “Stop the lies, did they know what was going to happen and stood by or did they not find out in time and that made everything worse?”said the president of the PP from the chamber.
