The head of the Court of Instruction number 9 of Alacant, acting as guard and replacement of the competent juvenile court, has agreed to the precautionary measure of closed confinement for a maximum period of six months for the 17-year-old minor arrested for allegedly killing his ex-partner, a 15-year-old girl, in Orihuela (Alacant).
The court has upheld the request of the Prosecutor’s Office to agree to this precautionary measure, as reported by sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV).
In this way, internment in a closed regime is decreed for a maximum period of six months for the detained minor, extendable at the request of the Public Ministry for another six months. The proceedings are declared secret.
