The president of the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, Benigno Pendás, was in charge of giving the laudatio. In his speech, the professor of Political Science at the CEU San Pablo University pointed out Doña Sofía as “an example of firmness in the convictions and values that support the family environment and the vocation to serve others.” Likewise, he has emphasized his “valued tireless work in favor of less favored social groups; as well as its cooperation in development in matters of health and childhood education.
