I have doubts about who to attribute the absurdity of what is happening with the couple of Isabel Diaz Ayuso, Alberto González Amadora confessed and proven fraudster, as well as a millionaire thanks to the commissions for the sale of masks that, in the worst of the covid pandemic, were sold at the price of imperial beluga caviar, when they existed. I do not know if the accusation of the State Attorney General – nothing more and nothing less – is due to a perfectly planned strategy and born in Puerta del Sol, which has been added since this Monday to the scandal of the notary registration of some conversations between the leader of the PSOE in the Community of Madrid, Juan Lobatoand his party partner, Pilar Sánchez Acerathen Chief of Staff of the Director of Staff of the President of the Government, Oscar Lopeztoday Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service. This news was the cover of ABC this Monday and in Ferraz and La Moncloa they are still digesting it.
Contrary to what some people think about her, I have no doubt about the talent of the Madrid president and her star advisor, Miguel Angel Rodriguezto set up this shebang by chapters in order to turn the fraudster González Amador into a victim and Sánchez’s collaborators – whoever falls, including the attorney general – into guilty parties and, on top of that, that the Supreme Court and other Madrid judges agree with them with accusations and various testimonies from those who dared to insist on the tax crime (confessed, for the moment) of the Madrid president’s partner in such a dark period, with a collective need for life or death.
However, even being aware of Ayuso’s ability to turn everything around and turn La Moncloa’s agenda upside down, It seems especially absurd to me to imagine that the president was the one behind the subject of the Lobato-Sánchez Acera conversations recorded by screenshots before a notary and published by Javier Chicote in ABC. This time, no: I refuse to believe it: A notary leaking client documents because of his devotion to Ayuso? Some secretary or employee of that notary, perhaps? This would be another very serious crime and it is very difficult for me to visualize it, not because I trust an official whom I do not know at all, but because of the risk it entails for his reputation. As journalists, it is true that you never know, we have had sources located in paradise, hell and purgatory, it does not matter to us, as long as the information is good. Think about all the great exclusives that have been included in official documentation over the years, in Spain and abroad, and you will get an idea.
In the end, the saddest and most frustrating thing about this case is that instead of focusing on a tax fraud of considerable dimensions in the heat of the covid fever, which killed hundreds of people a day; Instead of talking about the damage that tax fraud and those who execute it do to the State, we are directing the magnifying glass at the exercise of journalism (or not) and pointing to media outlets to which documents were leaked from Puerta del Sol – falsified to exonerate González Amador – and from La Moncloa – according to ABCalthough Lobato maintains that this information was already in the hands of the press. Meanwhile, the Civil Guard maintains that the accused attorney general had “a preeminent role” in the leak of the document that revealed private data of González Amador, although this has been denied by the Supreme Court, and without providing any proof of that leak by Álvaro García Ortizbeyond the deductions of the civil guards, who with all due respect, ask us for an exercise of faith more than anything else in their latest report.
In short, we have Ayuso about to talk about state terrorism against her partner, the confessed fraudster with whom she shares a luxury apartment and confusing origin; to the accused attorney general and with his devices under inspection in an indiscriminate manner and without any shame, and to the leader of the Madrid socialists having to testify for that notarial act that no one understands, no matter how many explanations are given. They don’t understand it in Moncloa either, and that’s the most important thing for Lobato, who not long ago rejected discontent the possibility of taking a step back in the leadership of the Madrid PSOE instead of… Óscar López. All very entertaining, but always remember that in politics, coincidences do not exist.
