The Minister of Territorial Policy, Angel Victor Torreshas summoned the PP spokesperson in Congress for this Thursday, November 28, at 4 p.m., Miguel Telladoand the presidents of the Canary Islands and Ceuta, Fernando Clavijo and Juan Jesus Vivasto a meeting to advance the modification of the immigration law, which “allows a regulated system of reception for migrant minors throughout the territory,” according to sources from the Ministry.
In this way, the Executive has also responded to the PP, which in a letter addressed to the minister criticized the “apathy” of the Government with the migration crisis and the failure to comply with the two “clear and concrete” demands that they requested for the reform of article 35.
Frontex deployment
According to the Ministry, the minister has responded to the PP that the questions raised in his latest response to resume negotiations, related to the deployment of Frontex and the activation of a mechanism for the reception of minors in other countries of the European Union, “have already been dealt with, or in the letter sent to the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyenor in the subsequent meetings that have been held in person in Brussels”.
The sources assure that Towers has moved to Tellado that “he will be delighted to explain these matters to you” at the meeting for which the president of the Canary Islands and the president of Ceuta have already advanced their presence.
