A councilor from Aldaia leaves the PP: “I don’t want to be in a party that has abandoned us”

First casualty in the Valencian PP after the disastrous management of DANA that has left 221 dead so far in Valencia (not counting the worker who died this Sunday in a school in Massanassa). The party’s number two in the Aldaia City Council, Paula García, has announced that she is leaving the PP, although she will maintain her position as councilor “as long as she can be useful to help the citizens of Aldaia in cleaning and reconstruction, when she sees that she is not I can contribute nothing, I will leave the minutes.” The withdrawal will be made official at the next plenary session called for this Tuesday, November 26.

Regarding the reasons for his withdrawal from the party, he explains that “being in a party in which you cannot criticize those at the top” he prefers to leave the formation and explains: “I do not want to belong to a party that has abandoned us. What has been cleared from the streets of Aldaia has been mainly due to the work of the neighbors, we have cleaned the basements and the streets. Then it is true that the garages and large belongings have been removed with machinery, but much of it from the farmers themselves who have come to help with tractors or from troops from other communities, provincial firefighters from Castilla y León have come in large numbers.” .

Beyond the management of the president of the Valencian Government, Carlos Mazón, on the fateful October 29, García’s disappointment comes above all from the lack of response from all administrations in the following weeks and he is also critical of the socialist mayor, Guillermo Luján. As he comments, “Mazón did it badly and that unfortunately can no longer be changed, but since you screw up at least try to react later by using all the means and trying to find solutions.” However, on the contrary, “what has been seen is that they pass the buck between Mazón and Sánchez and here we are still abandoned, a pathetic spectacle is being given and a total inability is being transferred from the local, provincial, regional and the state; There are still cars lying on the streets because the experts don’t pass them and they can’t take them away.”
