Icíar Bollain She is a renowned Spanish director and actress. In 2003 he focused on sexist violence with his feature film ‘I give you my eyes’, which received numerous awards, including the Goya Award for best direction and best original script. At the last San Sebastián Festival, she premiered her latest film, ‘I’m Nevenka’, in which she reconstructs the story of the woman who, in 2000, as a councilor, denounced the mayor of Ponferrada for harassment.
For its part, Juana Macias She is also a film director and screenwriter. She was the winner of the Goya Award for Best Short Film in 2000 for ‘Siete Cafés Per Semana’ and was nominated for the Goya for Best New Director in 2010 with her debut film ‘Planes Para Tomorrow’. She will soon release her sixth feature film, ‘The Girls at the Station’, a social look at the history of cases of sexual violence against minors that occurred in the Balearic Islands and were known throughout Spain.
