The motor world turns to Valencia: 80 vehicles are delivered to those affected by DANA in Cheste

This is the first mass delivery of vehicles to the victims thanks to the Solidarity on Wheels initiative, which aims to ensure that those affected “recover mobility” thanks to the cars and motorcycles deliveredas explained by the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation in a statement.

Solidarity on Wheels is a charitable initiative created by Valencian volunteers to contribute to the restoration of mobility of the population affected by DANA through the donation of vehicles. In addition to Sainz and Aspar, they participate in it. Fernando Alonso, Marc Gené, Nerea Martí, Cristina Gutiérrez or Nani Roma.

The event was led by Joaquín Durán, general coordinator of Solidarity on Wheels, and by Manuel Aviñó, president of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, the entity promoting the project. Both have thanked the “numerous contributions” to the project of ambassadors, donors, collaborators and the ecosystem of the national motor world.

Since the launch of the platform, they have been working to ensure that the people most in need in terms of mobility have “an immediate response to their basic needs”: to have “new vehicles to resume their daily activities.” So far, according to their website, They have 469 cars and motorcycles in the allocation process to satisfy the 7,582 requests.

With this Friday’s event, a series of periodic vehicle deliveries begin until reaching the figure of one thousand before the end of 2024.
