There is no doubt that the new Sánchez-Pizjuán It must become the engine of Sevilla’s economy in the short-medium term, which is why the club is now laying the foundations of a project that appears key within the regeneration plan of the Nervionense entity. This week a meeting was held in the Sevilla stadium itself between different institutions, associations and tourism companies, especially from the Nervión area, to present a new tourism project for the area championed by the Sevilla FC.
Representatives from almost 30 organizationsincluding the Seville City Councilwhich were received by the Sevilla president, José María del Nido Carrasco, and by the new general director, José González-Dans. The meeting served to present a project that aims to help decentralize tourism in the city, relying on areas such as Nervión to avoid overcrowding the center of Seville so much.
In this sense, the role of Sevilla FC seems fundamental. Not in vain, andhe Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán has become one of the best-rated tourist attractions by the city’s tourists and set a new record for visitors in the 2023-24 season: almost 77,000 on non-match days. The forecasts, furthermore, are even higher, potentially reaching the figure of 100,000 for the current campaign.
According to the red and white club, “Sevilla FC is considered to be the biggest sporting attraction not only in Seville but in Andalusia”attracting numerous visitors to the capital linked directly to the celebration of matches and “indirectly due to the fame and admiration it arouses beyond our borders.”
