Marlaska appoints Javier Antonio Susín general commissioner of information

The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has appointed the main commissioner Javier Antonio Susín Bercero nnew Commissioner General of Information of the National Police, at the proposal of the Director General of the Police, Francisco Pardeither.

Javier Antonio Susín has a degree in Law and joined in 1993 in the National Police. Throughout his professional career he has assumed different responsibilities, mainly in the General Information Commissioner’s Office.

He rose to chief inspector in 2008, to commissioner in 2017 – when he was appointed head of the Parla police station (Madrid) – and to main commissioner in 2023.

Since 2020, Susín Bercero held the position of head of the Provincial Brigade of Information of the Higher Police Headquarters of Madrid. He has different police decorations and decorations from other institutions, in addition to numerous public congratulations.
