Esther Romero and her partner ask the Spanish and Catalan Federations for help to recover the damaged cups
The DANA has left 218 dead and 13 missing in more than 70 municipalities of the Valencian Community. Added to these chilling figures, the material damage suffered, including razed houses and seriously damaged facilities, continues to require help to clean the mud and waste that plagues the Valencian streets.
Esther Romeroformer footballer FC Barcelona (from 2006 to 2011 and from 2013 to 2016), has lost its champion trophies of the Queen’s Cup due to the meteorological catastrophe. According to the photos attached to a tweet posted by his partner, Carla Martínez, the glasses have been seriously damaged.
Carla Martínez has requested the collaboration of the RFEF and of the Catalan Football Federation (FCF). The former soccer player herself, currently coach of the Valencian Community’s under-12 women’s team, has reproduced the message on her account, and the request for help has quickly gone viral, causing numerous comments and likes.
The FCF has responded to the publication wishing encouragement and strength with what happened, and has also asked Esther Romero’s partner if they can establish a private conversation.
