Mazón appoints Susana Camarero as spokesperson for the Valencian Government

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, has begun the restructuring of his Government this Sunday afternoon by appointing the vice president and Minister of Social Services, Equality and Housing as the new spokesperson for the Consell, Susana Camarero.

Mazón’s number two will replace the Minister of Finance, Economy and Public Administration, Ruth Merinowho served as spokesperson until now, who during the management of the DANA emergency had lost prominence in favor of Camarero, who is gaining strength and presence in the Palau de la Generalitat.

During the next few days, as confirmed by the regional Government, more details will be released about the changes in the Consell, which will have a new structure adapted to the recovery plan economic and social of the Valencian Community after the consequences caused by the flood of October 29.

Last Friday, President Carlos Mazón advanced, in his appearance in the Valencian Cortes, that the new structure of the Consell will include a transversal vice presidency that will coordinate the actions of the economic and social reconstruction of Valencia and a Department of Emergencies and Interior focused on responding to crisis situations in an agile and coordinated manner and with prevention skills to protect and ensure the safety of Valencians.
