Íñigo Errejón made his move this Thursday and shook the board. The former spokesperson for Sumar presented an appeal before the Provincial Court of Madrid where he assures that the complaint filed by the actress Elisa Mouliaá in which accuses him of sexual assault It is “false.” The former politician considers that there is an “obvious lack of substance” in the interpreter’s claim and that she has acted in a “fraudulent” manner.
However, in 2020, Errejón wrote on his X account (then Twitter): “There are no false complaints“There is a fanatical right whose job is to criminalize women.” An opinion similar to those he has expressed on numerous occasions.
In this message, the former parliamentary spokesperson referred to the «sexist violence» and he assured: «That something is ‘politicized’ means that we put passions, expectations and discussion between values on it.» «Decades ago, sexist violence was not a problem in the media and parliaments, it happened in silence. What is not politicized is not discussed and, therefore, cannot be changed,” he shared then.
Errejón maintains that Mouliaá’s accusation is “false”
Just a few weeks ago it was Sumar’s management that claimed that Errejón had confirmed the facts of which he was accused. The former deputy also shared in his resignation letter that he had reached “the limit of the contradiction between the character and the person” and that the political front line had worn out his “mental health” and his “affective and emotional structure.” Despite this, he now maintains that Mouliaá’s complaint is “false” and wants to be able to declare as soon as possible.
This Thursday, his lawyer emphasized “being able to offer the corresponding explanations before the judicial body and expose the reality of the factswhich are far from those described by Mouliaá in his false complaint.
After these words, the actress stated that, despite being “quite shocked”, she is “very sure of what happened.” «I could have said something else, but that’s what happened. I was at his house and He attacked me three times; I have witnesses», he insisted.
Mouliaá has also pointed out that there are other women to whom Errejón did “worse things.” «He denigrated them, humiliated them and he did terrible things and with zero empathy,” he stressed. According to the actress, “I followed the same pattern with all of them.”
