The Endeavor 2024 Gala powered by Mastercard took place this Wednesday night at Televisa San Ángel. The event brought together nearly 700 high-impact entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors and multiple key actors driving economic transformation in Mexico. It managed to promote collaboration and the exchange of ideas between different stakeholders in an environment where innovation was the protagonist. He paid tribute to more than twenty prominent personalities who are redefining strategic economic activities throughout Latin America.
Vincent Speranza, general director of Endeavor México, recalled that the objective of the call “is to praise the stories of entrepreneurs who, through their values of resilience, selflessness and triumph, allow us to channel and have a better Mexico. “Endeavor reaffirms its authority as an agent always focused on visionary minds.”
For his part, Mauricio Schwartzmann, country manager of Mastercard Mexico, stated that “The Mexican market is already a benchmark in Latin America in terms of entrepreneurship and digitization. “We are at a key moment where the sector is gaining international recognition and is building the foundations of a more solid economy.”
Entrepreneurship in Mexico has benefited from the rise of new technologies. Despite this, experts assure that there are still many gaps that slow progress. Attracting capital and building a balanced and diverse talent base are persistent challenges.
Alejandro Villanueva, founder of POSiBLE, affirms that there are small companies and startups Mexican companies with great growth potential. However, he notes that the number of emerging companies, especially in the technological field, is small compared to the size of the country. The perspective is shared by Vicent Fenool, founder of Kubo Financiero. “Mexican capital is not yet at the pace and logic seen in other territories. We have spectacular unicorns, but since the last decade and compared to countries like Brazil we have lagged behind. Various regulatory, legal and, above all, local trust issues must be addressed.”he emphasizes.
Pedro Ortiz, leading partner of Alliances and Ecosystems at Deloitte Spanish Latin America, indicates that the new national proposals suffer from a lack of access to clients that allow them to reinforce their infrastructure and expand their offer. “We see dozens of scale-ups with revolutionary ideas and extraordinary technologies that more traditional organizations are often unaware of. We must build a bridge between entrepreneurial entities and large companies to transform the economy.”
