Tourist prices in Spain grew in October compared to the same month last year, with national packages and hotels being the most expensive, with 15.1% and 5.1% more, respectively.
According to data from National Statistics Institute (INE) consulted by Europa Press, airlines raised the price of national tickets by 1.2%, while international operations did the same with 2% more.
On the contrary, international tourist packages were the only ones that decreased in price in the tenth month, representing 0.7% cheaper than those of a year before.
As for the accumulated year, both domestic and foreign flights were 5.4% more expensive compared to the same period in 2023, while stays in hotels and similar accommodation services increased their cost by 24.6%.
Between January and October, the price of national tourist packages was 9% higher. For their part, international ones fell again with -5.7%.
Regarding the monthly variation, all tourist prices decreased in cost, following the trend of reducing rates once the high season months ended.
Consequently, these were the price decreases in each of the tourist services: Domestic flights (-1.2%), international flights (-0.9%), national packages (-5.5%), international packages ( -1%) and hotels (-5.9%).
