Villagrasa explained that the socialist group has already shown the difficulty of processing the more than 20 lines of the cohesion fundof some projects such as the Center for Depopulation Studies, the international congress, the campaigns on the rural real estate and promotion portal and the execution of the budget before the end of the year.
“After the summer, given the procedures initiated, we observed that many projects could not be executed,” says Darío Villagrasa, who advocates taking measures to avoid losing these resources. Along these lines, it advocates undertaking an urgent budget modification with an unconditional transfer to the town councils so that the first local administration invests in policies to combat depopulation.
Villagrasa points out that the situation is not “a minor issue”, since the fund for financing projects to combat depopulation FIHUZAR will not run this year. The provision in this case is 4.5 million of euros.
