Mapfre and Sanitas withdraw from Mugeju and will not provide healthcare to Justice officials

Mapfre and Sanitas have decided not to appear at the concert to provide health care to Justice officials (Mugeju). This refusal adds to that of DKV, which already announced that it would not participate in the tender either and coincides with the sit-in by DKV itself, Adeslas and Asisa at the Muface concert. These last two insurers have accepted the conditions of the Executive, so they will continue to provide the service to civil servants in the judicial sector. Nueva Mutua Sanitaria has not yet commented on its decision.

“There are not sufficient conditions to guarantee the quality of the service,” Mapfre sources told Europa Press. The conditions are an average increase in premiums of around 17.1% but which, according to the insurers’ arguments, do not compensate for the costs of the services they must provide after the inflationary crisis of recent times.

Regarding Sanitas, the company has detailed that, after studying the conditions of the offer, “they do not guarantee the provision of the service under the quality conditions that (the company) considers necessary.”

In the case of Muface, the concert was declared void last week, after Adeslas, Asisa and DKV, the three insurers that provided assistance, refused to appear. All of them argued that they were not willing to aggravate their losses to continue providing this service.

Regarding Isfas, the mutual insurance company that provides services to military personnel who opt for private insurance versus Social Security, this Monday the attendance of Adeslas and Asisa was confirmed.

The base budget for the Isfas concert is 1,201 million euros for the entire two years covered by the concert. In the case of Mugeju, it amounts to 175 million. This translates into a total of 1,376 million euros, while in the previous concert, which spanned three years instead of two, the budget was 1,856 million euros.

This Monday, the CSIF union has counted on thousands of public employees following the protests called to begin negotiating the improvement of working and salary conditions for all public employees and in defense of the Muface health model. The mobilizations have taken place in front of the Ministry of Finance in Madrid, and in the Government subdelegations of all the provinces of the country, and will continue on December 16.
