The Government will transfer 25 million euros to the entity that owns the Sepes State Lands to buy homes and rent them to families affected by DANA. The properties will be leased by the entity belonging to the Ministry of Housing, which will grant the “sufficient” waiting period so that victims who have lost their home or have suffered serious damage to it during the natural disaster can pay the first payment.
Those affected who want to access these rentals, which will foreseeably have prices below market, must be residents in the areas affected by DANA and prove that the damaged home constituted their habitual residence, either as owner (as a natural person ), user or tenant of the home. Likewise, it will also be taken into account if the person has the status of heir or is the spouse of the deceased owner “as long as this was his or her habitual residence prior to the occurrence of the incident.” People who own another home in the province, unless they had rented it prior to the incident, will not be able to access these rentals.
