The Reocín City Council has collected 2,777 kilos of food and material for those affected by DANA donated by the residents of the municipality at the collection point set up this Thursday at the Town Hall offices, in Puente San Miguel.
The mayor, Pablo Diestro, has expressed his gratitude to all the people who have collaborated with their donations to help those affected by the “terrible tragedy” caused by DANA. “Once again, the residents of Reocín have shown their solidarity and support for those who are suffering,” he highlighted.

Diestro has also thanked the work carried out by the volunteers who throughout the day on Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., have been collecting and classifying the donations for shipment.
It is about water, milk, legumes, pasta, canned food, baby food, pet food, masks, gloves, personal hygiene products, household cleaning products, baby diapers and wipes, and adult diapers, mainly.
The collection has been carried out in response to the needs transmitted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, which manages its delivery for subsequent distribution in the affected areas.
