The Compostela Mestrelab Researchleader in the scientific data marketinaugurated this Friday the new Mestrelab Research Center in Santiago with the aim of serving as a “communication bridge” between the University of Santiago with the rest of Galician institutions and the industry.
The new complex, with a surface area of more than 2,300 square meters, has required an investment of 9.4 million euros made in equal parts by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) dependent on the Xunta and by private capital.
Mestrelab is specialized in the development of laboratory data processing and analysis softwarewhich is already used by some of the most powerful pharmaceutical groups in the world.
The president of SciY. Brucker, Santiago Dominguez, explained that the CIM will give scientists the possibility of “making innovative discoveries and developing new applications” that improve the quality of life.
In this way, the Mestrelab Research Center becomes a “communication bridge between the Compostela university with the rest of the institutions and the industry.
