The impositions of design and ergonomics, with increasingly thinner and lighter computer equipment, force the profile of laptops to be reduced, the side effects of which undermine the functionality of the computers and laptops themselves. The generosity of input and output ports, along with the profusion of access and communication resources, are part of past times, always to the detriment of USB, mini USB, LAN, HDMI, network cables, mini connectors, jacks and others impediment.
Faced with this landscape, currently widespread throughout the computer and consumer electronics industry, it finds its counterweight in the so-called Dockstation, with multiport adopters that make life easier for users. In response to this growing need, Corsair proposes its USB100 (with a price of less than 100 euros)a dock with seven connections, presumably more than enough to satisfy the physical multi-connectivity demands of our days.
On the front, the accessory offers a USB-C 2.4 A connection, which not only allows the connection of devices but also serves to recharge them with energy. In the same space a third USB-A is included, in this case without power supply. On the back side, there are another five connections, of which two are USB-A 3.1 at 5Gbps accesses and three are USB-C 3.1 at 5Gbps. To the above, a sixth connector is added to power the dockstation itself.
The tool more than fulfills its function, that is, It overcomes the usual limitations of laptops and desktop PCs. In addition, the fact of including its own power charger adds points in its favor. Despite the lack of such technical deployment, the offer also provides the set with autonomy for mobility uses. That is, not only is it a dockstation, but it is also its own charger.
Now, unlike other devices of its kind, The USB100 does not include a monitor connection or RJ45 network access. In any case, the Corsair accessory is enough and more than enough for users who simply need to expand the range of connections on the PC or laptop itself.
