There are now three people that the Civil Guard has arrested in relation to the altercations last Sunday in the Valencian town of Paiporta, one of the most affected by DANA, during the visit of the Kings, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón. All those arrested are residents of the area and none of them have links to ultra groups, according to sources close to the proceedings consulted by ABC, although it is not ruled out that new arrests may occur. The investigation of the Benemérita Information Service continues.
The three detainees are related to the damage caused to the vehicle of the president of the government and that of his escort. One of them, the first detainee, is already provisionally released after having been placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court number 3 of Torrent (Valencia). This is a neighbor who, with a sweeper brush, managed to break the rear window of one of the black SUVs that make up the procession.
No precautionary measures have been imposed on him, although he remains under investigation in the context of an open case for attacks against authority, public disorder and material damage. The two others arrested -who respond to the initials of BFM and GMC- are also residents of nearby towns, Albal and Godella, respectively, and at the close of this edition they were waiting to be brought to justice.
An escort stopped the stick

30 imprisoned for looting
Regarding those detained for looting and pillage, sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) estimate that 30 people are already in provisional prison. In total, the duty courts of three of the judicial districts most affected by DANA, Torrent, Catarroja and Alzira, have received at least 62 detainees since the beginning of the catastrophe last Wednesday. While the Civil Guard already has more than a hundred arrested for robberies in shopping centers and industrial estates, among others.
At 15 of the 30 people who are already in prison provisionally, they are attributed with the commission of crimes of aggravated robbery with force in an establishment open to the public, understanding that they were able to take advantage of the catastrophe caused by the floods to perpetrate robberies, allegedly, “with impunity.” The other half of those imprisoned are charged with a continuous crime of robbery with force and some are also charged with a crime of belonging to a criminal organization, as reported by the TSJCV.
