Microsoft has announced its new devices with next-generation Snapdragon microprocessors, designed to work together with artificial intelligence (AI). Just in time for the holiday shopping season, the technology firm welcomes the Surface Pro Copilot+ PC and Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC.
Surface Pro Copilot+ PC
The Surface Pro Copilot+ PC features a Snapdragon X Series processor, the most powerful processor currently available from Qualcomm for laptops. Microsoft mentions that it will be available in versions with one terabyte (TB) of storage and RAM of 16, 32 or 64 gigabytes (GB). For a better audiovisual experience, it incorporates a screen with OLED technology and a battery with up to 14 hours of life.
According to the company, the Surface is designed for creative, design and executive teams who work hybridly or are constantly on the move. It works like a high-powered tablet, but users who want can add the Flex Surface Pro keyboard, specially designed by Microsoft and sold separately.
Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC
For its part, the Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC is a traditional device with a keyboard included and a chip Snapdragon Elite. It has a 13.8 or 15-inch HDR touch screen to operate complex programs. Although there is still no information available about its RAM memory, Microsoft reported that it will have one Terabyte of internal storage.
The Surface Laptop’s rugged design has direct implications for its performance. Its battery has a range of 20 hours, three more than previous models. In addition, Microsoft highlights that it is prepared to handle Wi-Fi 7. Due to its solid features, this device is ideal for demanding workloads in well-established environments.
Both the Surface Pro Copilot+ PC and the Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC are available in classic black and timeless platinum colors through authorized resellers, with a price starting at 30,135 Mexican pesos.
What is Copilot+PC?
Since they arrived, Surface devices have been devices that incorporate the best technology available that can operate in a slim body. With the Copilot+PC label, Microsoft explains that they are prepared to take advantage of new artificial intelligence options throughout their operating system. Until now, Windows computer users use the Copilot agent to answer questions, but it is not possible to use general AI functions to manage the resources of the entire computer.
“Microsoft Surface has incorporated into the new Copilot+ PC devices the competitive advantages that every company needs. It offers improvements to conventional office applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365 and Chrome, allowing you to optimize your workflow. It also includes innovations such as Recall, which makes it easier to search for documents and summarize endless email chains; OneNote, for taking minutes; Cocreator, which assists in the generation of creative content; and real-time translations, which improve communication in international calls and seminars,” says the company.
