Cantabria has already launched the first direct aid for the area affected by DANA. Specifically, this Saturday afternoon 13 firefighters and seven regional government vehicles equipped with bailing, extrication and debris removal equipment left for Valencia, thus responding to the request to send this type of equipment and the strictly necessary personnel.
These teams depend both the SEMCA and the forest firefighters of the General Directorate of Forests, and they are scheduled to arrive at the Command Post assigned by the Generalitat Valenciana, located in Alzira, in whose fire station a resource management center is located.
COORDINATION
The coordination of the output of the means and resources of the different institutions, as well as their data, operational capacity, guarantee of autonomy, days they can be in the area and relief capacity of personnel is being carried out by the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice, Security and Administrative Simplification of the Cantabrian Executive.
On the other hand, it is Room 112 that communicates to the Operational Coordination Center the departure of the teams and the estimated arrival time. Firefighters from the regional government have mobilized four teams.
TEAMS
The first, a vehicle car water tanker pump with a crew of two firefighters with bilge hoses, sludge pumps and prompt help to unclog manholes; the second, a high flow pump with a crew of two firefighters with hoses and two sludge pumps and bilge hoses, a generator set and pumps; the third, another high flow pump with two firefighters, two sludge pumps and bilge hoses, a generator set and pumps; there is a fourth vehicle and a park boss to coordinate.
In addition, a team from the General Directorate of Forests has left for the Alzira Command Post, made up of a team of six forest firefighters with three fire engines of great capacity.
For their part, members of Civil Protection Volunteer Groups left at 5:15 p.m. from Corvera de Toranzo. These are the groups of Corvera de Toranzo, Los Corrales de Buelna, Santa María de Cayón, Castro Urdiales and Villaescusa with 11 people, five 4×4 vehicles, seven motor pumps, seven electric pumps, nine generators, a light tower, logistics material for self-sufficiency and communication of the team itself, etc.
SUNDAY
On Sunday, the Santander Firefighters will leave for the area, with four electric pumps with two generators in a light vehicle with two firefighters; a Torrelavega fire department with five firefighters, a pick-up vehicle with a trailer, two generators, an underwater team, two servo explosion pumps and two electric pumps and the Castro Urdiales Fire Department.
On the other hand, Cantabria has also offered the Psychosocial Support Team to the emergency management, according to the Government in a statement.
